Milano DESIGN WEEK 2025 FINDINGS

After years away, returning to the Milan Salone felt like reawakening a sense of creative curiosity. This year’s edition leaned heavily into themes of neutrality, inclusive well-being, and human-centered design—blurring the lines between technology, humanity, and what lies beyond.

One standout was A+N Studio’s immersive installation: a circular lamp born from neural stimulation research. At first glance, its glowing animations seemed erratic—until you noticed the quiet intelligence beneath. Tuned to influence brain activity, the lamp could soothe, focus, or energize, depending on the need. It wasn’t just a light—it was a sensory dialogue.

The space around it deepened the message. Draped in fabric faded like sun-bleached memories, it quietly echoed the slow erosion of our planet under climate change. A subtle, beautiful warning.

This wasn’t just an exhibit—it was a glimpse into the future of design: immersive, emotive, and deeply aware. A+N’s work reminded us that design isn’t only about form or function—it’s about feeling, impact, and responsibility.

数年ぶりにミラノ・サローネを訪れると、クリエイティブな好奇心が呼び覚まされるような気がしました。 今年のミラノサローネは、中立性、包括的ウェルビーイング、人間中心のデザインというテーマに大きく舵を取り、テクノロジーと人間性、そしてその先にあるものが、境界を超え一体化しているようでした。

特に目を引いたのはA+N Studioの没入型インスタレーションで、神経刺激の研究から生まれた円形のランプです。一見すると単なる不規則な光の変化に見えますが、そこには静かな知性が存在しています。このランプは脳の活動に影響を与え、安心感、集中力、活力などをもたらし、単なる照明ではなく感覚的な対話そのものなのです。

また、その周囲の空間がメッセージ性を深めていました。色あせた布に包まれたランプは、まるで太陽の光にさらされた記憶のように、気候変動で地球がゆっくりと侵されていく様子を、静かに繊細に、そして美しく警告しています。

これは単なる展示ではなく、没入感を与え、感情を揺さぶり、意識を深めさせるという、デザインの未来を垣間見るものでした。形や機能だけがデザインなのではなく、フィーリング、インパクト、そして私たちの責任を喚起させるものであることを、A+Nの作品であらためて認識させられました。
